O.F.C. Vintage 2004
A bourbon vintage-dated to the year it was distilled — 2004 — and presented in the O.F.C. manner: a hand-cut crystal decanter honouring the distillery Colonel Taylor christened Old Fashioned Copper in 1870. Whiskey from a bygone era, drawn from barrels of yesteryear.

Two decades in oak yield a nose of dark cherry, aged oak, vanilla bean and dark caramel, shaded with dried fruit, leather and toasted spice. The palate follows with toffee, caramel, butterscotch and dried cherry over baking spice and tobacco, closing long and elegant — cinnamon, leather, molasses and mature oak depth.
The O.F.C. Vintages are released only when the Master Distiller judges a year's barrels ready, each decanter accompanied by a provenance card recording its distilling year. The 2004 is among the first of the programme's vintages distilled in the new millennium.

Dark cherry, aged oak, vanilla bean and dark caramel on the nose, with dried fruit, leather and toasted spice beneath. Toffee, butterscotch and dried cherry fill the palate before a long, elegant finish of cinnamon, leather, molasses and mature oak.
O.F.C.
In 1869, Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. established a distillery on the banks of the Kentucky River outside Frankfort, and a year later christened it O.F.C. — Old Fashioned Copper. It was the most state-of-the-art distillery of its time: copper fermentation vats, column stills, and a pioneering steam heating system that still warms the ageing warehouses of Buffalo Trace today.
