O.F.C. Vintage 2005
The second O.F.C. vintage of the new millennium — distilled in 2005, aged some twenty years, and hand-bottled in cut crystal with the programme's copper-inlaid lettering. Released, as every O.F.C. is, only when its barrels were judged at their peak.

The nose is rich and enticing — cherry cordial over undertones of caramel and a hint of smoked oak. The palate turns to a complex marriage of dark chocolate and tobacco leaf with subtle hints of dates, before a lasting impression of leather, black pepper and cinnamon.
Like all the O.F.C. Vintages it honours the distillery Colonel Taylor built on the Kentucky River — Old Fashioned Copper — and it ships in a wooden display case with a provenance card recording the events of its distilling year.
Cherry cordial, chocolate, spice.
A rich, enticing aroma of cherry cordial with caramel and a hint of smoked oak. Dark chocolate and tobacco leaf follow, with subtle dates beneath, before a lasting finish of leather, black pepper and cinnamon.
O.F.C.
In 1869, Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. established a distillery on the banks of the Kentucky River outside Frankfort, and a year later christened it O.F.C. — Old Fashioned Copper. It was the most state-of-the-art distillery of its time: copper fermentation vats, column stills, and a pioneering steam heating system that still warms the ageing warehouses of Buffalo Trace today.
