O.F.C. Vintage 2006
Distilled in 2006 and matured close to two decades, this vintage continues the O.F.C. programme's quiet ritual: a hand-cut crystal decanter, copper-inlaid lettering, a wooden display case, and a provenance card recording the year the whiskey was born.

The nose carries dark cherry, caramelised sugar, antique oak, leather and tobacco. Layers of dark chocolate, dried fruit, cinnamon spice, toasted nuts and seasoned oak follow on a velvety mouthfeel, and the finish is exceptionally long and elegant — lingering spice, sweet oak and soft leather.
Only a few hundred bottles are reported to have been released globally, in keeping with a programme that began by giving its first two hundred bottles away to charitable causes. Each vintage exists in the number its barrels allowed, and no more.

O.F.C.
In 1869, Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. established a distillery on the banks of the Kentucky River outside Frankfort, and a year later christened it O.F.C. — Old Fashioned Copper. It was the most state-of-the-art distillery of its time: copper fermentation vats, column stills, and a pioneering steam heating system that still warms the ageing warehouses of Buffalo Trace today.
