60 Year Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky

A liquid time capsule: a single ex-bourbon cask, No. 160237, filled at the Carsebridge grain distillery in November 1965 and left to mature for sixty years. Carsebridge itself is long closed; the cask outlived it. Just 140 bottles exist — Release No. 42 in the house's count.

The Expression

An exceptionally aged Kentucky straight bourbon, discovered and finished by the masters at The Last Drop — a marriage of three selected barrels, bottled at natural cask strength. Fewer than five hundred bottles are believed to remain.

Twenty-seven years is an extraordinary age for a Kentucky bourbon. Across nearly three decades in oak, this single marriage of three barrels has drawn a deep colour and a profound concentration of flavour — the slow, patient character that simply cannot be hurried.

Tasting Notes

Deep amber, sixty years slow.

Toffee, baking spices and sweet fruit with a warming note of clove. The palate brings toasted almonds and crème brûlée over fruit, with oak spice building to a gentle, peppery close — a deep amber whisky of profound age.

About the Marque

The Last Drop

The Last Drop Distillers was founded in 2008 by Tom Jago and James Espey — two spirits men with more than eighty years of experience between them — on a simple pursuit: to travel the world in search of the rarest and most remarkable spirits ever made, and to present them, untouched, to those who understand them.
